Blind Travel

Alex Bulmer explores blind traveling through differing artistic disciplines. This practices is an investigation of interdependent walking, to understand the world through a geography of memory, an architecture of voice, the assemblance of place, something she calls “perceptual archeology”.

In 2018, the BBC commissioned Alex to write 5 essays about travelling as a blind woman in the 21st century with connection to 19th century James Hollman.
